The 2012 draft is in the books. I think it is funny reading most people's draft grades and they seem to give most teams A's or B's. How is that possible?
Teams that won the draft in my opinion.
The Rams-stockpiled picks from a team that is going to struggle next year
The Cowboys-traded up to get a lock down corner.
The Eagles and Bengals- both teams made solid picks all draft to sure up already proven teams.
The Browns- Weeden sounds the part of a solid starting QB. Trent is a Beast!
Teams that made solid picks.
The Stillers- drafted two starting lineman. Decastro looks like an all-pro. This is again solid drafting by the Stillers. Their defense still has major questions in the secondary and line. They are still destined to finish 3rd in the division behind the Ravens and Bengals.
The Pats- drafted all defense and made two solid first round selections.
The Cards- Mike Floyd is a Beast!
Teams that blew it.
The Dolphins- Mike Floyd is a Beast!
The Seahawks-Their pick didnt even start in college
The question marks.
The Niners. They totally reached in round one. Why? I know they targeted him but they could have gotten him later. They shoulda taken the other Jenkins!
The Redskins- They traded away alot for a QB that ran an option pass offense in college. I wouldnt have done it and I am not so sure RG3 is not a bust.
I concur with the top group except I think Claiborne is going to be a bust. Just a hunch.
ReplyDeleteThe Stillers - I can't believe they got that lucky and drafted the best player they could have drafted. Decastro should have been taken in the top 10 and Hightower would be a Stiller and Big Bum would be on his bum a record number again.

Apparently the 49ers along with a few other teams had Jenkins rated higher than Justin Blackmon. Both are only 6'0" and Jenkins is actually faster. They signed Perish Cox in the offseason so they didn't need the trouble maker Jenkins but LaMichael James may be the steal of the draft. Gore is winding down on bad knees, LaMichael can put on 10 lbs and be the next Chris Johnson for a few years.
I like RG3 but I have a feeling one of the top 2 picks will be a bust or at least disappointing. The Steelers should have made a move to get a better QB and Kellen Moore from Boise St is an undrafted FA but they already resigned 2 old guys.
Philly is going to be good, but the 49ers beat them in the NFC Champ.
Pats are going to be the big disappointment next year and the Ravens will be back on top.

The steelers finishing 3. U must be crazy. The Bungholes once again will be 2 wins. And im lookin for a split or possibly a sweep against tge Dirt Birds. Suggs being out will make it much easier for the steelers.

Who's your RB? The D-Line and secondary are very suspect. Andy Dalton and AJ Green think you should get used to finishing behind the Bengals. There is no reason to think any of these three teams are going to fall of the map but if any do slip a little its probably going to be The Stillers. How and to who did your season end last year?
ReplyDeleteThe secondary did play bad in that last game. But this is the same secondary of the number one pass defense last season. We havent had a good RB since The Bus abd since will parker broke his foot. Still wob a superbowl and lost another. O line has improved and WRs are atill good. I like the Steelers finish on top of the AFC North again for 65 19th or 20th time.

You might have statistically had the best D against the pass last year. You might have also benifited from playing the blain gabbarts, colt mccoys , tavaris jackson's and tyler palko's of the world. Those scrubs dont show up on the schedule this year. They have been replaced by people named Eli, Peyton, Vick and Romo. I think their "ranking" might change this year.
ReplyDeleteWithout Mendenhall and possibly Mike Wallace, no Hines Ward, I think we will see just how bad Big Bum really is next year and Steeler fans will be wishing they made a run at Peyton or drafted a QB. Is Kellen Moore still available?
ReplyDeleteFirst of all mendenhall has been a non factor for 2 seasons. Ward was out last season and didnt matter. You call big ben a bum u must be crazy. Just another steeler hater. He is such a bum with his 2 rings. With an improved o line and great receivers. Watch out.
